Welcome to Foundation Stage!

We have two classes in our Foundation Stage Unit.  Mrs Padgett is the Early Years Foundation Stage Leader and Miss Mosley is the other Foundation Stage teacher. Mr Beaumont works in Foundation Stage on a Wednesday and Thursday morning and Mr Simons works with us during singing and music sessions.  Mrs Hafez also come to work with us on a Wednesday morning.

We have P.E. on Wednesdays so please make sure P.E. kit is in school all week. Children need a plain or logo white t-shirt, black or burgundy shorts and pumps.

All items of uniform need to be labelled with your child’s name please, and in a bag on their pegs.

Homework and Reading
The children will bring homework home on a Friday, to be returned the following Wednesday. Please ensure that your child reads at least three times per week and that you make a comment in their reading diary.

Online observations shared with parents or carers
You will receive an invitation via email, inviting you to join your child’s profile.  Once you have registered, you will be able to view your child’s learning in school.  Please feel free to reply to these observations with comments.

Stay and Play
Parents and carers are very welcome to join us for Stay and Play sessions on a Tuesday morning until 9:30am.

How to help your child
Please make sure all uniform, PE kits, shoes, coats and hats etc are named so we can help avoid lost belongings and have more chance of returning missing items.
Please read with your child as often as possible and make sure you support them with their homework.

Any questions or queries at anytime, please just ask one of the Foundation team.
