Week 8 – 11th May – 15th May

Welcome to SATS Week 2020! None of us thought it would be like this, did we?

Have you seen the maths challenge on Twitter – the rabbits helped!

Well done Isobelle, Rayyan and Ruby on Read Theory.

Thanks for the challenge on TTRockstars – Tayo, Charlie and Logan.

TTRockstars: The Battle is on – your rivals are 6K. Spread the word. Keep going – you are smashing it.

It was great to speak to so many of you and your parents last week. I have enjoyed looking at the pictures you sent in of your VE Day posters and celebrations. I was also impressed with Isla’s outdoor learning – her new pond and the wildlife in it! I am waiting to hear if Joe actually caught any fish on his expedition.

I don’t know what the future holds but I have been bowled over by the way you have all risen to the challenge of working from home. Keep going and have a go at the quiz from Whizz, Pop, Bang.

It was lovely to speak to some of you and your parents last week. I did try you all and left messages on answer phones if that was an option. I will try and keep in contact with you all in the coming weeks too. Mrs Walker says hello. She is busy talking to her grandchildren on Facetime!

In order to keep sharing your work or simply to let your friends see what you have been up to, send any pictures into: thornhillsupport@focus-trust.co.uk with the subject: For Miss Hargreaves, I’ll make sure I update the website at least once a week. Keep fighting the battles on TTRockstars. Tayo, you are outstanding! Keep logging in because I have asked other teachers in school to challenge some of you as well!

The links right at the bottom of the page are still working. Why not take a virtual trip to one of the Science Museums over Easter.

Enjoy your time with your families and keep socially distancing,

Bye for now,

Miss Hargreaves and Mrs Walker.
